Support What You Believe In- Tour De France?
Football season and Tour De France. Two times of the year I live for.
However, another drug scandal is rocking the TDF in an unprecedented manner. The top 5 finishes from last year are out-- Lance is retired and the other 4 were kicked out due to strong doping allegations.
In total, about 20 riders have been dismissed, another couple of teams have had their invites revoked and most of the favorites to win are gone.
This is more drama than fuggin' Jerry Springer.
I'm not sure I can support this kind of crazy ass behavior-- from the cyclists doping to the Tour acting like a giant baby kicking folks out (although many were kicked out by their own team management).
So, do I even watch the Tour this year? I don't even care anymore. Seems like a complete waste of my time. I guess I'll make a game-time decision on whether to even waste my TiVo space on his rolling band of lunacy.
