Pics, Updates, Boycott the NFL?
So Auburn lost its first game of the season, which prolly game a week later than it should had. It's unfortunate for the Auburn haters that I really don't care. Folks can harass me and really it's no bother. I just have not gotten jazzed up about this football season, especially since we're prolly in for a 7-5 regular season.

Got my plasma TV after 2 or 3 years of shopping. Our goal was to keep the TV cost at under $1500 for a 50". Two or 3 years ago that seemed like it was never gonna happen. Ahhh, but technology prices always fall, eh? So I quit agonizing, check out my latest Consumer Reports and just went with their recommendation. Couldn't be happier... well, now that I look at it, we prolly could have gotten a 58" or 60" TV been okay but that'll be another shopping expedition.
First experience at Toyota service department. This was the day I was dreading. I've been spending too much time on the internet reading about how horrible Toyota service is. I was pleasantly surprised to see how kick ass Performance Toyota was when I took my car in. Man, they were awesome. They fixed an issue with my transmission but then decided they'd just go ahead and absorb the $700 cost of replacing my drivetrain. Wow. A service department eating a warranty job and being proactive. What a great experience.
Y'all rock my world like I rock hers...

So football looks great on my new TV and y'all know how much I love football. However, I got finished reading an article in Men's Journal regarding the horrible treatment that former NFL players get during and especially after their careers are over. Many of these guys are basically disabled from playing football and the NFL Player's Association (headed by Gene Upshaw and his $6.7 million salary) could barely give a phuck about them.
But I guess it's a career choice. There are guys roofing houses for $20,000 / year who risk permanent disability on a daily basis. They would love to risk their bodies on a $68 million contract like Jamarcus Russell just got from the Oakland Raiders.
But cases like Kevin Everett still make me said. He suffered a neck injury last weekend and will spend the rest of his life paralyzed from the neck down, and he's only 25-years-old. Sucks.
Welcome to Tennessee Y'all...

Hold Up, They Say Cycling is a Joke?
Back on the NFL. Rodney Harrison admitted to using HGH and he gets a 4 game suspension? Does this sound like the biggest phucking joke ever? In cycling this guy would get a 2 year ban from WADA and prolly a 2 year ban from the ProTour thus ending his career. However, in cycling we'd never really know if he was truly guilty we'd just convict him with zero evidence and his career on the spot.
Much Love to You Guys, Have a Great Week
