Too Much Social Networking

When I want to update my closest friends on how I'm doing here's the route I take:
I call Zack: Hey man, how's it going? I just wanted to chat with you on how things are going...
[hang up after 10 minutes]

I call Kenny: Hey man, how's it going? I just wanted to chat with you on how things are going...
[hang up after 10 minutes]

I call Shawn: Hey man, how's it going? I just wanted to chat with you on how things are going...
[hang up after 10 minutes]

During the work day I also open separate email threads to each person and make sure we keep in touch.

Really? No. Heck no. We either chat with big ole "Reply to All" emails or do a little sit down. It's all about communication consolidation,
efficient meetification.

I barely have enough time for my blog and Facebook. I have a MySpace page since I think I'm obligated to. And Classmates.com. And a new invite at Ning.com for my high school class. And I really have no choice because what if one of my hot friends decides to post her (or his, I don't discriminate) nude pics on one site and not the other?

I love keeping in touch but, damn, I can't keep up with all these social networking sites.

Therefore, something has to go. I'm thinking I'll keep Facebook and the blog but let the others die on the vine.

I promise, it'll be easier for all of us this way.
